According to the new Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey, he will be the man in charge and the team’s main focus will be defence, just a couple years ago i could swear i heard the same thing from another raptors coach, that being Sam Micthell but where is he now. Don’t get me wrong i am all about the defence but many have tried for the last five years and failed, what will Dwayne Casey do that will make a difference, I really don’t want to judge the guy before he even gets a chance to do anything but i need to see to believe.

I am one of those who really wanted to see Raptors President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo gone but i only got half of my wish with the firing of Jay Triano a nice man but not the coach for the Toronto Raptors.

That being said i know the Dallas Mavericks just won the title and Mr Casey was a member of the coaching staff, but that doesn’t mean a lot to me, I am giving Dwayne Casey two years before he gives up and runs out of town taking Bryan Colangelo with him.

Demar Derozan The Raptors best player?

Who is the best player on the Toronto Raptors? With the emergence of Demar Derozan as one of the leading scorers for the team the last few weeks, this guy is beginning to show that promise that we all expected from him when he was drafted, not only has his offense game greatly improved, he has shown improvement on the defensive end as well.
This is supposed to be Andrea Bargnani’s team but does he have to start looking over his back, with the way Demar has been playing lately?

I personally believe Demar Derozan has taken a big step in becoming a very good player or even a superstar in the NBA, some may say that I am being hasty with such a statement, some may even say I am naive but I do not think so, I have seen the promise since his rookie season and I am not the only one who saw it, the talent Is already there and he is now putting in the hard work that make great players.

I know there are some out there that will say “he is just another dunker” but he is more than just a dunker, watch the games and you will become a fan.

So I ask is Demar Derozan slowly becoming the best player on the team?
